Reiner Fuellmich behauptet bei Bittel TV, dass im Buch HOMO AMICUS alles gelogen sei. Wie kommt er zu dieser Einschätzung? Das Buch beruht auf einem als Strukturierungsgrundlage von mir geführten Interview mit Reiner Fuellmich. Es ist zudem die Wiedergabe unzähliger Gesprächssituationen zwischen Reiner Fuellmich und mir. Im Interview hat Reiner Fuellmich mir erzählt, wie sehr es ihn immer noch belastet, als Zehnjähriger einer alten Dame nicht in die Strassenbahn geholfen zu haben. War das etwa gelogen?
Reiner Fuellmich sagte mir dazu: „Einmal stand neben mir in der Menge der Wartenden eine alte Oma. Sie war so alt und schwach, dass sie es aus eigener Kraft nicht schaffen konnte, in die Straßenbahn zu steigen. Ich sprang in die Bahn und dachte bei mir, der alten Dame wird schon jemand helfen. Da sind ja so viele Leute. Aber keiner half ihr. Dann fährt die Karre los und die klapprige Oma steht da draußen vor der Tür und guckt der wegfahrenden Straßenbahn hinterher. Ich dachte: „Oh Mann, wie kannst Du so was tun?“ Ich war damals neun oder zehn Jahre alt. Mir war klar: Du musst selbst dafür sorgen, dass es passt. Auch heute, wenn ich daran denke, fühlt sich das immer noch komisch an. Es gibt Dinge, die macht man und sie bereiten einem immer noch Schmerz, wenn man viele Jahre später wieder daran denkt. Ich frage mich auch heute immer noch: „Warum hast du der Frau nicht geholfen?“ Ich war traurig und zornig. Aber ich dachte: Das passiert dir nie wieder. Jedes Mal, wenn du siehst, hier muss was getan werden, dann gehst du hin und tust alles, was in deiner Macht steht.“
Mich hat das damals sehr gerührt, heute frage ich mich aber: Wenn Reiner Fuellmich immer noch so davon belastet ist, dass er vor fast 55 Jahren einer alten Dame nicht in die Strassenbahn geholfen hat, wie lebt er dann jetzt mit der Last, dass er Geld, dass sich alte Damen vom Mund abgespart haben, damit der Corona-Ausschuss seine Arbeit machen kann, nun für seine eigenen Verwendungszwecke einbehält?

Reiner Fuellmich claims that everything in the book HOMO AMICUS is a lie. How does he come to this assessment? The book is based on an interview with Reiner Fuellmich, which I conducted as a structuring basis. It is also the reproduction of innumerable conversation situations between Reiner Fuellmich and me. In the interview, Reiner Fuellmich told me how much it still weighs on him not to have helped an old lady into the streetcar when he was ten years old. Was that a lie?
Reiner Fuellmich told me: „Once there was an old granny standing next to me in the crowd of people waiting. She was so old and weak that she could not manage to get on the streetcar under her own power. I jumped into the streetcar and thought to myself, someone will help the old lady. There are so many people. But nobody helped her. Then the trolley starts and the decrepit granny is standing out there in front of the door, looking after the streetcar as it drives away. I thought, „Oh man, how can you do that?“ I was nine or ten years old at the time. It was clear to me: you have to make it fit yourself. Even today, when I think about it, it still feels weird. There are things you do and they still cause you pain when you think about them again many years later. I still ask myself today, „Why didn’t you help that woman?“ I was sad and angry. But I thought, „This will never happen to you again. Every time you see something needs to be done here, you go and do everything in your power.“
I was very touched by this at the time, but today I ask myself: if Reiner Fuellmich is still so burdened by the fact that almost 55 years ago he was unable to help an old lady onto the streetcar, how does he now live with the burden of keeping money that old ladies saved from their mouths so that the Corona Committee could do its work, now for his own purposes and use?
